Group Cruise FAQs
How many cabins do we need to qualify as a group?
Most cruise lines consider 5 cabins, or more, a group. While it can differ by cruise line and itinerary, smaller groups can still benefit from planning together.
Do all travelers have to book the same type of cabin?
Not at all. Each traveler can choose the stateroom category that fits their budget and preferences.
Do we all have to do the same activities?
No. That is one of the advantages of cruising. You can explore together or separately and reconnect for meals and events.
As the group organizer, can I receive any perks?
Possibly. Many cruise lines offer tour conductor credits when a certain number of cabins are booked. These can reduce the organizer’s fare or occasionally cover it.
When should we start planning?
The earlier the better. Group space and the best pricing are usually available further in advance.
